Celebrating 100 Episodes: Your Guided Tour Through The Finance Marketing Podcast
When you start something new, it’s not always easy to picture where you’ll be next year, or the next.
I’ll be honest. I didn’t even realize we were about to hit 100 episodes of The Finance Marketing Podcast. (🎉) It was Kayla, our designer, who pointed it out. I had this surreal moment of thinking, wow, I’ve already done 100 of these?
On one hand, I know how much work has gone into every single episode. On the other hand, it still feels like I’m just getting started!
To celebrate this milestone, I’ve created a guide where you can browse by topic and get the marketing information you need in the here and now.
So here it is: Every episode, organized by topic, ready for wherever you are in your marketing journey.
🎉👉 EPISODE 100: The Hidden Benefits of Becoming An Author as a Financial Advisor 👈🎉
category 1: building your brand as a financial advisor
Your credentials might get you in the room, but your personality — your brand — is what makes someone choose you out of everyone else. In this industry, nearly every advisor has the same certifications and similar services. What truly sets you apart is your personality.
I’ve found it’s hard for advisors to grow organically without some version of their personality out there for people to connect with. When I look at the advisors who are really thriving, they’re the ones putting themselves out there, not the ones relying on credentials, services offered, or industry experience to generate leads.
These episodes dig into what it means to build a personal brand that lets your personality shine while differentiating you from the competition — from the early days of establishing your presence to finding the through-line that makes your marketing unmistakably yours.

category 2: finding & connecting with your niche
The word “niche” gets thrown around in marketing conversations so much that it’s almost lost its meaning. But I’m telling you from experience that the advisors who are really growing are the ones fully committed to niching.
I believe to my core that it’s nearly impossible for advisors to market themselves successfully online without a niche. The space is just too crowded, educational content has been commoditized, and ChatGPT can answer pretty much any financial question.
But with a niche, you suddenly have something to say that no one else is saying. And so you become the obvious choice for a specific group of people who see that you get what they’re going through, and that’s the fastest path to growth I know of.
These episodes explore what it looks like to define your ideal client with real specificity so you can build deeper connections and create marketing that’s magnetic, not generic.

category 3: content marketing & thought leadership
Content is having a moment of reinvention, so it’s more important than ever to nail it. These episodes cover everything from SEO and blogging to video, books, podcasting, and the new frontier of AI-driven search optimization.
If you’ve ever wondered whether it’s still worth creating content when AI overviews are hoarding clicks, this category has your answer.
(Spoiler: Yes to content, but your strategy may need a refresh.)
At the start of 2025, I had something of a “content crisis.” Google was de-incentivizing content creation, and I was genuinely questioning whether or not it was still worth it. But by the end of the year, I’ve completely flipped.
Content is still the way people find you, and it’s the only way AI tools know to recommend you.
(If you listen to one episode here, make it the conversation with Kali Roberge!)

category 4: LinkedIn and social media marketing for financial advisors
I think just about everyone is in some kind of love-hate relationship with social media. These episodes make a case for doing it anyway… and doing it in a way that works for you!
So many advisors treat social media like a necessary evil. I get it—but the ones who go all in and just show up as themselves (like Mando Sallavanti and Thomas Kopelman) have built these magnetic personal brands that people genuinely fall in love with.
They book discovery calls purely from being present and consistent.
That said, Mando himself has been candid about the risk of building entirely on social: if the algorithm shifts, your pipeline can disappear overnight. That’s exactly why I pair this category with the next one!
THE EPISODE LIST
How to Successfully Combine Multiple Marketing Platforms — Thomas Kopelman
The Relationship-First LinkedIn Approach That Actually Works — Doug Greenberg
From 15K to 40K Followers: The LinkedIn Strategy That's Driving Real Revenue — Mando Sallavanti
category 5: growing your pipeline
Attracting attention is one thing, but converting that attention into clients is a whole other ballgame. These episodes cover the full spectrum of pipeline-building, from email marketing and lead generation to testimonials, referrals, and paid advertising. If your marketing is working, but you’re not seeing it lead to discovery calls and clients, this section is for you.
Email marketing is the hill I will die on for financial advisors. So many people deprioritize it, and it’s such a mistake! Unlike your social following, you own your email list. No algorithm can take it away.
I’ve personally seen newsletters we’ve written for clients lead directly to referrals: a client reads the newsletter, remembers their parents need something like that, and makes an introduction.
That’s the quiet, consistent pipeline-building that pays you back in spades, so build that list and nurture it!

category 6: website optimization & compliance for financial advisors
Your website is the hub of your entire online presence: every referral, every social media follower, every podcast listener ends up there eventually. And for advisors wrestling with compliance requirements or marketing specialized services, the rules of your website look a bit different. These episodes cover the unglamorous (but no less important) work of getting your foundation right.
I hear so much chatter about websites getting less traffic because of AI. While that’s true to a degree, people still visit your website when they're referred. So take care to keep it polished with copy that’s about the client (not you), and make sure it does the job of turning curious visitors into discovery call bookings.

category 7: operations, sysytems, and growth
I love having guests on to talk about operations because it’s so much more connected to marketing than people realize. When your systems run smoothly, clients are happier. Happy clients refer more. More referrals compound your marketing efforts. It’s a self-reinforcing cycle, and it all starts with having the right infrastructure in place to support the growth you hope to see from marketing.
These episodes explore the systems, processes, and strategic decisions that allow your business to thrive—and keep thriving.
